Justin Mitchell, filmmaker/cinematographer, moved to New York in September 2001 and months later found himself at Civilian Studios. Born and raised in Hollywood, CA, he is the director of "Songs For Cassavetes," the acclaimed music documentary on D.I.Y. underground punk. He has also produced web sites for Moby, Deftones, Will Smith and others as well as the award winning educational CD-Rom "Survivors" for Steven Spielberg's Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation.
He's a surfer who likes to take the A train to Rockaway Beach in the dead of winter. He likes whiskey, fast cars, and women.
And he really likes talking about himself in the third person.
